Missions
Ministry at First Love Fellowship keeps the congregation informed
about missionaries and ministries that we currently support, and
encourages people to support missions through prayerful giving; as
well as to plan and organize short term missions trips, then share
the results with the congregation, that we may rejoice and God be
glorified!
Opportunities are provided for
people to "Go into all the world and preach the gospel"
(Matthew 28:19) as we regularly organize short-term mission trips
which are open to congregation members.
For several years, a group of
men & women have assisted with the construction of homes for street
children in Guatemala, while many youth have participated in
missions trips to Mexico, Costa Rica, Jamaica, Nicaragua, Sri Lanka
& New Orleans. Through the years, FLF members have brought the Good News
of the Gospel to over 23+ nations, as well as Native Americans in
the United States.
Destiny GoGlobal
Youth Missions has taken summer missions trips
to Nicaragua and Ghana. Such awesome opportunities to see people touched with the
good news of Jesus Christ and lives changed not only in these
countries, but among our own youth missionaries!
In both 2005 & 2006 Pastor
Phil Larson took a team of missionaries to GHANA, Africa to assist
missionaries Aaron & Grace Anthony in a Pastors Seminar, street
witnessing & evangelism. They saw many Ghanaians saved, healed
and delivered. It was a very fruitful, exciting and rewarding
time!
The summer of 2006 also found
Assistant Pastor Jon Palashewski leading a youth missionary trip to
Peru to work with missionaries Ron & Annette Thiesen. The team
traveled the Amazon River by boat stopping along the way to minister
in various villages doing children's ministry and evangelistic
services. They too saw many come to Christ and found their
trip to be fruitful, rewarding and very adventurous!
Missionary News!
Barry & Adrianne Jensen send Greetings from
Sevastopol, Ukraine!
We are excited to announce that we have located an
entire floor of an office building (more than 4000 sq ft)
which is presently available for long-term rent at an
excellent rate. RHEMA Ukraine has become a vibrant source of
life in our community. Although we've only been in public
facilities since May, we have more than 50 adults and 20
children now attending regular church services. With the
growing needs of the church and our Bible Training Center, we
really need to move into a facility which will be available to
us 24/7.
Presently, we are hosting the church and bible school in
our home, due to major repairs being done in the auditorium we
have rented hourly. Though it's been fun to have up to 64
adults in our home for weekly services, while children's
ministry is held in our boys' bedroom and Bible school classes
meet in our living room 4 nights each week, we sense it is
time for the ministry to acquire its own space.
Thank you for your continued prayer on our behalf—you
are greatly appreciated! |
