Administrative
Staff
Doris Kari
Secretary to Senior Pastors
Life Christian University Administrator
Doris Kari has been with First Love Fellowship for seven years.
Prior to that, she had worked in various administrative positions
during her 40-year business career. Her formal training includes
the Minnesota School of Business and many management classes over
the years.
Doris’ office is in the Welcome Center so she is usually the first
person people see and meet when they enter the building. Since she
is a “people person,” the contact Doris has with staff, congregation
and visitors is very fulfilling. She likes the variety of her job
responsibilities and getting to pray with people who come in with
needs or prayer requests.
Bob and Doris have been married for 46 years. They have three adult
children (Kathy, Erik and Kris), seven grandchildren and one great
grandchild, with another on the way! Doris enjoys crocheting, and
Bob and Doris like to travel and entertain. They also faithfully
pray for many couples on a daily basis.
Desiree DeLaney
Administrative Secretary
Desiree began as a volunteer with First Love Fellowship in February
of 1999 and became a permanent part of the office staff in January
of 2000. She originally trained to be a Missionary Secretary with
Teen Missions and attended Central Bible College in Springfield,
MO. While Desiree does many creative things in her position with
FLF – including designing flyers, bulletins, and Power Point items;
maintaining the church website; helping with advertising; doing
internet research; and ordering books, music and office supplies --
she truly feels her labor is ministry for God and that makes it very
fulfilling.
Desiree and husband, Jerry, have been married 25 years. Jerry was a
career man in the Marines and so they traveled a great deal and
lived in many places. Their favorite location was Okinawa, Japan.
Desiree is from Hawaii and loves warm, tropical weather.
Jerry
and Desiree have three adult sons (Jason, Brian and Travis).
All three are serving in the U.S. Navy. In her free time, Desiree is an avid reader,
crafter and swimmer, and she enjoys sewing, quilting, and cooking.
Jenny Trandahl
Financial Secretary
Jenny Trandahl has been with First Love Fellowship for 18 years and
has been involved as the Financial Secretary since the spring of
1995. She is responsible to manage the accounting functions and
member contributions for the church. Jenny graduated from Robinson’s
School of Cosmetology, and she puts those skills to use keeping her
three daughters beautiful.
Jenny recognizes that her position is vital to the flow of the
ministry, and that “if she does her job well, the staff doesn’t have
to be concerned with the everyday flow of the finances.” Her
comment? “It’s where I fit at FLF!” She is grateful for First Love
Fellowship because it is a wonderful ministry which provides her
with a good job that is a special blessing to her.
Tom Trandahl
Overseer – Buildings & Grounds, Technical, Audio-Visual
Tom Trandahl
has been at First Love Fellowship for 18 years. In the spring of
2007 he fulfilled his desire to be part of the ministry as he came
on board to oversee Buildings & Grounds, and the church’s technical
areas and audio-visual operations. Tom has some college and
specialized training with Northwest Electronics Institute and is in
his second year of Life Christian University. He particularly
enjoys the variety of tasks he gets to tackle daily and the
opportunities to step into ministry to other men. In his spare time
(ha ha!) Tom likes camping, travel and remodeling houses.
Tom and Jenny have been married twenty-three years and have three
girls who are especially dear to Tom and Jenny since they waited a
looooong time for those blessings! Mariah, who is 11, is very
creative with writing and drawing and her love language is gifts;
Meghan, age 9, is active, wants to be a “cowgirl” and her love
language is words of affirmation; Madison, who is 7, is sensitive
and playful. She loves her stuffed animals, and her love languages
are quality time and touch.
